Born Born Ericka Monique Marsh from the Crown Heights area of Brooklyn. September 14. But last residence in Brooklyn was in the East New York part, near Linden Boulevard. Ericka left New York in the summer of 1979 to move to Asheboro, North Carolina. Left North Carolina in 1988 to go into the United States Air Force, where she did one term but had two duty stations during that time, one at Hurlburt Field Florida and one in Europe at Zaragosa airbase Spain.
Ericka spent 6 1/2 years in Europe affording her the opportunity of living in three countries Spain Germany and Belgium. During the time at Hurlburt Field Florida, she met and married the father of her four children in 1990, whom she is now divorced from.
From the union, three women and one young man were born. Also during that time of marriage, she had the opportunity to live in Colorado Springs Colorado for four years as well as Maryland for one year, and now lives in Greenville, South Carolina since 2002.
She started writing poetry more frequently right after the pandemic. So she is still a baby in this.

Laura Lilia resides in her hometown Houston, TX with her family, two pet chickens, and her niece Chihuahua. As a child, writing was always the best way of processing her unique unexpected life experiences within time, as life kept piling on, she drifted away from her writing. In early 2019, she attended local and online writing workshops all over the world to find her way back into writing. She created the pieces of poetry collections in her first debut poetry book “Becoming Forever Changing Leaves.” Her poetry has become a blueprint for how she was able to make sense of her unique experiences, and redirected her back into her walk of faith. Laura is a Community Health Worker in the medical field by day, attending school in the evenings, an active advocate for Suicide Prevention and Awareness with Poppy’s Run for Life, and is a continuously curious fan of experiencing life through art, fitness, and being in the world to inspire others... as others inspire her.

Jennifer K. Yancey, a.k.a. The Poet RoseGold, hails from “the real Gotham City” – a Bronx, New York native who discovered Poetry at 15 and began using it as a more creative way of communicating with the world. Coupled with her 20-year career as an Army photojournalist, Poet RoseGold knew how to capture the human condition in real time through her lens and record its consciousness with her pen. She jokingly refers to her work as “Incendiary Redbone Poetry,” highlighting the injustices tarnishing the American landscape; spirituality; intimacy; self-love/Black love; mental health; and (past) life in the military. Poet RoseGold’s voice has crossed time zones virtually and in-person, through podcasts and numerous community engagements, including an appearance on the “red-dot stage” at TEDx Colorado Springs, in 2019. Poet RoseGold is also a member of TESORO – a newly-formed organization whose purpose is to hold safe space internationally for women “word-warriors” to “do their work.” Poet RoseGold’s work has been featured in several anthologies: Between a Laugh and a Tear (1991); Love Letters to Gaia (2021); The Cuddy Family Foundation For Veterans Poetry Journal Volume One and The Cuddy Family Foundation For Veterans Poetry Journal Volume Two (2021); Poet Speak Magazine, issue #40 (2021); Rising Voices: Poems Toward A Social Justice Revolution (2022); These Fought in Any Case: A Collection of Poems and Short Stories by Veterans (2022); and I Can’t Breathe, vol. 2 (2022). Her debut Poetry book, Poetry Is A Love Language (But First, Lemme Tell You Something … ) is slated for a late 2023 release.

Shannon has published her poetry online with Rebelle Society and Women's Spiritual Poetry, and in print, in DoveTales, published by the group, Writing for Peace. She can frequently be found drumming in parks with her family, drawing, or reading her poetry at the Urban Goatwalker Coffeehouse in the Phoenix Hill neighborhood.
