Sandi Horton lives in Waco, TX. She loves to compose and perform songs for Native American Flute and read her poetry. She was honored to be selected for second place 'Best Flute Single in 2022' by One World Music Radio. Her third solo CD, 'Native Flute Journeys-3' was released in January 2023. In June 2023, she performed in London, UK at the Majic Forest Arts Showcase. In the summer of 2021, she participated in a week long retreat with R. Carlos Nakai in Montana. In the fall of 2023, Sandi spent another week at a flute retreat with R. Carlos Nakai. In April 2019, Sandi performed her music and poetry at the ARAS Art and Psyche International Conference in Santa Barbara, California. Sandi completed a BME (music) from Texas Tech University and a MS (Ed Psy.) from Baylor University. She worked in public schools as a band director and school counselor for 20 years. In 2022, Sandi performed solo native flute songs at 109 Zoom meetings online, she performed at 46 live venues.

She performs original solo Native Flute on three hour long CDs. She is the chairperson of the Waco WordFest and is the editor of its yearly international anthology for ten years. Four books of her original poetry are also available on Amazon.
